At the front of the cottage is a sunny balcony looking onto garden whilst the back door leads out to the patio and steps to the swimming pool area.

There is comfortable seating for 4 with the focal point of a large fireplace with wood burning stove for low season rental. Dining Room The dining area has a table and chairs to seat 4 people and a dresser housing crockery,cutlery and a shelf of books! Kitchen The kitchen area is well equipped with large 5 burner gas cooker, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and ample pots & pans etc. Tea towels,dishcloth & a range of cleaning products provided. 1 Bathroom(s) / Toilet(s) Description The cottage has a shower room with toilet and a vanity unit with wash-hand basin in each bedroom. A bath towel and hand towel per person are provided 2 Bedroom(s) Description Both of the bedrooms have sloping ceilings with the original beams exposed, and wooden floors. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, bedside tables & reading lamps, chest of drawers, shelves/hanging rail and vanity unit with wash-hand basin. Bedroom 2 has two single beds, a shelving/clothes hanging unit and wash-hand basin. Bed linen is provided and beds will be made up on arrival.

About the Location Chene vert is one of 5 gites at Le Jardin des Amis; a renovated former farm on the edge of the medieval village of Meyrals. The region is dominated by pre-history, beautiful architecture and gastronomy. The local markets have some of the best produce France has to offer. Whether you wish to visit the local caves with their drawings dating back 20,000 years; picnic by the banks of the Vezere or Dordogne river; canoe for a unique view of limestone crags and troglodyte remains;or taste the excellent wines from Bergerac, Cahors and surrounding areas ‘Le Jardin des Amis’ is at the very heart of it all. Les Eyzies (UNESCO world heritage site) 6k, St. Cyprien (Dordogne river & excellent market) 4k, Sarlat (beautiful medieval town) 15k.
Notes for guests The swimming pool has a 'salt water system' which is kinder to skin and eyes than the traditional chlorination methods. Jon & Sue (owners) live on site and will welcome you on arrival. We try to keep a discreet presence but are available with local advice if required. we are also happy to help with bookings for restaurants/canoeing/cave visits etc.
Notes on Rates All our rates are based on weekly rental with a saturday changeover. Outside July/August we are happy to take shorter bookings and can be more flexible on changeover dates: please contact us with your requirements. Reductions may be available for late bookings when available or for extended rentals (2+ weeks) Rates are inclusive of bed linen and towels(but not pool towels which may be hired according to availability). A 25% deposit is required, with the balance to be paid six weeks before the start of the holiday.
