St Laurent des Hommes Dordogne (24), Aquitaine Description : Situated in the village of St Laurent des Hommes, you can buy your baguette at the boulangerie and enjoy a drink at the bar. It is still possible to have a 5 course meal with wine at a local restaurant for 13 euros. Or relax by your gite with a barbecue. Some of our guests spend nearly all their time by or in the swimming pool, a real sun trap. Others explore the countryside by bike, canoe, walking or fishing or visiting the many interesting places in the area. |

Home Features Games Room, There is a separate summer house by the swimming pool which has washing machine, tumble dryer and iron. Also hundreds of books for adults and children and a video and Dvd player. Also games for children and adults, jigsaw puzzles. Garden features There is a table- tennis table. The garden is secure and the swimming pool is fenced. There is a large grassed area and shrubs and fruit trees with a small stream at the bottom of the garden. Activities nearby There is a horse riding centre in the village with pony trekking for children.Mountain bikes can be hired. Canoing on the river and walks in the country. Thereīs a large lake nearby to swim in with a beach,lifeguard, restaurant and play areas for children. Transportation How to get there ? Bergerac Airport is 45 minutes away, Bordeaux airport is an hour away. Cars can be hired at both airports. |

About the Location We are 5 minutes walk from the centre of the village of St Laurent des Hommes (population 1000) There is a bar, boulangerie, tabac, butcher, post office, green grocer and hairdresser. There are many reasonably priced restaurants nearby serving the local Perigordian dishes. We are within the triangle of Bordeaux, Perigueux and Bergerac. You can visit St Emilion (chateaux and vineyards), Sarlat, Lascaux II and other prehistoric caves with their magnificent rock paintings. | |
