Soleil Brille is a converted barn in a small village just outside Nontron.As you drive into the village our property is directly opposite the boulangerie, pull up the drive into the courtyard. Here you will find stairs to the three terraced garden,where the entrance to the gite is located.On the first terrace of the garden is the fun pool and private patio(garden furniture, bar-b-que and large parasol ,which is bathed in sunshine from dusk till dawn during the summer period. Watch the sunset over the valley from the patio while having a nice glass of wine.

On the same level is the first double bedroom beautifully furnished with a Dorma Anise, with large wardrobe and draw unit,over looking the courtyard.
The generous twin bedroom, has a wardrobe, draw unit and bedside table.
A charming double room, decorated in shades of soft green and yellows,with a comfortable pine bed, wardrobes, bedside units and reading lamps.
Both of the bedrooms look out on to the courtyard and are nice and cool during the summer months.

Home Features CD player, The Gite is fully central heated for winter lets and also has a log burner for those late chilly nights.
All household linen is provided for your stay(bed linen,shower and hand towels) but you are kindly asked to bring your own swimming towels.For 2 week bookings and over, a fresh set of linen and towels will be provided each week.

How to get there ?
By Ferry From channel ports take A1 or A16 direction Paris, then A10 direction Bordeaux, leave A10 at Poitiers Sud, join N10 direction Angouleme.From Angouleme take the D4 followed by the D75 to Nontron. By Plane from the UK - Ryanair operate direct to Limoges Airport (approx. 74km). By Train – Eurostar /TGV to Angouleme,Limoges and Bordeaux Car hire is avaliable from all train stations and airports Limoges airport is 1 hour away by car. Flybe flies from Stanstead and Southampton. Ryanair flies from Stanstead, the East Midlands and Liverpool. Bergerac Airport is 1 hour 30 minutes away by car. Ryanair flies from Stanstead, the East Midlands and Liverpool. Bordeaux Airport is 2 hours away by car. Bmibaby flies from Manchester. About the Location
Nontron, in the heart of the Perigord Vert, is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside and offers an ideal base for visiting the many wonderful places to be found in this part of the Dordogne such as Brantome; the Venice of the Aquitaine, Bourdeille et Puyguilhem Chateaux and the grottes at Villars.
A stone's throw away are restaurants for all tastes and pockets ranging from gourmet dishes of the region, to pizza and pasta.
In 2008 a new lesisure center is to open,the center will include an indoor heated swimming pool and gym.
There are several large markets every week,the nearest are Nontron(Saturday), Piegut(wednesday) and Brantome(Friday) which offer the specialities of the region.
If you like Golf the nearest in kilometres is at Golf de La Preze at Rouzede which is quite close to Montbron,North West of Nontron.
The international Karting Track At Teyat is only 12km from nontron.

-Salon des antiquaires (November)The famous Nontron knife with its boxwood handle is still produced in Nontron using the same methods as in the 15th century. You can visit the strikingly modern factory with shop which overhangs the gorge.
Every year at the beginning of August the town hosts France's major two day knife festival with demonstrations of traditional blacksmith's skills.

Notes: Bookings are Saturday 4pm to Saturday 10am but this is flexible by arrangement. Off peak period is also flexible as long weekend or mid week breaks are available, also B&B. A deposit of 25% is required to confirm your booking, the balance to be paid six (6) weeks before arrival
