Le Petit Pre is designed with the descerning couple in mind. A luxury gite just for two. There is a large open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area which leads to a first floor with bedroom and shower room. The bedroom boasts a king size fourposter bed and luxurious bed linen. Outside there is a private terrace providing eating area, barbecue and private sunloungers. There is access to a 10 x 5 metre pool which is shared with guests of the chambres d´hotes.

About the Location
Situated just inside the department of the Lot et Garonne and near the border of the Dordogne, Pré de L’Aubier is equidistant from three charming bastide towns:
Sainte Foy la Grande, on the Dordogne river, is a ten minute drive as is the very pretty bastide town of Eymet. The town of Duras with its magnificent chateaux is also well worth a visit. The nearest villages to the property are Loubès Bernac and Monestier. Loubès Bernac has a very good general store open 7 days a week (Sunday morning only), a post office and a pizzeria/restaurant, Chez Nelly's. Monestier has an excellent restaurant, Relais de Monestier, offering gastronomic delights with variously priced set menus.
Pré de L'Aubier is located just 5 minutes' drive from the prestigious Château des Vigiers Golf Club, set amidst plum orchards, oak woods, lakes and vineyards with its stunning Château as the centre-piece. It is regarded as one of the most splendid golf courses in all of France.
The bastide towns of Eymet, Issegiac, Duras and Sainte Foy La Grande host spectacular markets, offering all the fantastic food and wine for which this region is renowned. Summer months offer fetes in the local area, such as the wine festival in Duras or the jazz festival in Monsegur.
The area is famous for its unspoilt rolling countryside, with fields of sunflowers, tree lined meadows, vineyards and plum orchards, ideal for lazy ambles, bike rides or driving through the quiet country lanes.
There are many other activities and day trips that will appeal to a broad mix of ages. Whether you want to tour the vineyards, go horse riding, play golf, go fishing, or canoeing on the rivers there will be plenty of opportunities. You can also spend time visiting the local markets and sample the produce, visit the many chateaux in the region or even investigate the underground caves. Throughout the summer there will always be a fete or festival at one of the surrounding villages. So whether you are looking for an action packed holiday or just rest and relaxation we can offer you time well spent......
Notes for guests
A welcome pack is provided for your convenience, containing all the basic necessities, including wine, bread, cheese, coffee, fresh croissants and a few local delicaies. We provide all bed linen, towels and pool towels and replace them weekly for stays of more than one week. We can arrange a round of golf for you before your arrival with discount at one of the local courses. Or perhaps a vineyard tour with wine tasting.
