About the Location Gite Papillon is located just 5km south of the picturesque and medieval town of Josselin with its fairytale chateau (Castle) which sits alongside the Nantes/Brest Canal. The Chateau is open to the public. Weekly general market. Doll Museum. Cycle Hire. Day boat hire. Shops. Restaurants. Bars. Supermarkets. Petrol stations. Horse race track. Canoe hire. Cinema. Guegon is just 1.5 km from Gite Papillon and offers everything for your daily needs including a general shop, pizzeria, restaurant, boulangerie, pharmacie, post office and bars.
Notes for guests Changeover day is Saturday during the season but can be flexible out of season. Lettings are week by week but out of season we can also offer 5 day breaks. 24/25/26/31 JULY and 1/2 AUGUST 2008 - large medieval battle reinactment at a local manor house. Something not to be missed. 14 JULY 2008 Josselin Medieval Bastille day celebrations followed by large firework display at base of Chateau. 5 JULY 2008 Stage final for the 'Tour de France' near to properties. Throughout the summer, free weekly music festivals in the streets of Josselin. AUGUST 2008 - Large CRAFT show in local town. Early NOVEMBER 2008 - Huge Boat Show on Morbihan coast. 1 hr drive from properties.
Notes on Rates Please see our website for rental rates. Rates include use of the Jacuzzi/Hot Tub, all Bedlinen, gite towels, electric, gas and water. Outdoor towels can be hired if space is short in the car - 5 euros each. Jacuzzi/Hot Tub is available May to Sept (included in the rental cost) but can be available if required out of this period for a charge of £30 per week. Swimming pool is open June-August. Winter lets include a basket of logs for the woodburner on arrival. Further logs can be purchased for just 3 euros a basket thereafter. (electric heating included in rental charge) Gite Alouette, 6-13 Sept 08 now reduced to £300-.
