There are two lounges. One has a sofa and two armchairs, a log burning fireplace and cable TV showing programmes in several languages, including English. There is also a hi-fi and DVD player. This lounge leads on to the interior courtyard.
The largest lounge has a table and 4 chairs and a sofa which can easily adapt to two singles or one double bed. Sliding patio doors lead on to the terrace.

The larger of the 4 hand-painted Provencal kitchen is fully fitted with an American fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven and hobs and a microwave oven. Plenty of cupboards and work surfaces lead to the dining area where a traditional French oak dining table can seat up to 14 people – perfect for those long leisurely dinners. A large patio door leads on to the terrace.

With a climate more akin to the Mediterranean than the mountains, you will enjoy a sunny backdrop to whatever you choose to do. Making that choice could be difficult though, given the diverse range of sights, attractions and activities that are available. Nature lovers, foodies, historians, walkers, adventure types, there’s something here for everyone.
The medieval town of Aubenas 6km away could keep you busy for a week with its castle, churches and myriad historical treasures. The villages of Vogüé, Alba la Romaine and Balazuc are officially listed as amongst the most beautiful in France with their narrow winding streets, hidden arcades and secret squares. The diverse landscape throws up countless beauty spots but ‘must sees’ include the Gorges de l'Ardèche, Païolive wood, Ray-Pic falls, Mount Gerbier de Jonc and Lake Issarlès. For the outward bound, these provide plenty of opportunities for climbing, kayaking, canoeing and canyoning, while local bicycle hire allows you to see it all from the saddle. The drama of above ground is more than matched by that occurring below in a magical nether land of fairytale caves and grottos. Work out your stalagmites from your stalactites in the fantasy underworld of Aven d'Orgnac, Aven Marzal, the Grottes de la Madeleine, Saint Marcel and la Forestière. You can also enjoy the area’s rich harvest of natural products, including olives, melons, chestnuts, many varieties of fruit, not to mention a rich selection of wines.
