La-Boheme is a beautifully renovated 300 year old stone cottage with stunning views of the Pyrenees. Set in the heart of an unspoilt picturesque French hamlet in the wooded forests of the Montagne Noire.
The hamlet is situated a 30 minutes drive north of the medieval town of Carcassonne, with its quaint narrow cobbled streets, open air market and magnificent walled citadel. Carcassonne has two UNESCO world heritage sites, La Cite and the Canal du Midi. They are both must see tourist attractions. La Boheme comfortably sleeps up to six people. It has three bedrooms, two doubles and one twin, fully equipped kitchen, and full bathroom. The spacious lounge/dining area has a high-beamed ceiling and fireplace. The shaded terrace area with table and seating for six people offers fabulous views down the valley towards Carcassonne and the Pyrenees. La Boheme has a private garden with barbecue area where many local plant species grow freely.

About the Location
The Montagne Noire lies above the fabulous AOC wine growing regions of the Minervois, Corbieres and Cabardes. Perhaps try the degustation (tasting) from some of the local vineyards. This is the most prolific wine-growing region of France. La Boheme is an ideal rural retreat. Wonderful walking is available literally from the door above the gorge d'Orbiel. You can also swim in the pure mountain water of one of the nearby mountain lakes. Away from your day-to-day life you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings and wonderful mountain views.
